A senior postdoctoral position is available at the European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*).
The European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*) invites applications for a 3-years senior postdoctoral position starting in January 2018.
The research at the ECT* focuses on Nuclear Physics in a broad sense, and on related areas. In addition, scientific activities carried out at ECT* concern workshops, collaboration meetings, doctoral training programs and specialized courses.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct theoretical research in the field of Quantum Simulations of Relativistic Systems, with an emphasis on developing connections between key phenomena in high energy and condensed matter physics, and possibly on establishing collaborations between high energy physics and quantum information science.
The eligible candidates should have:
- Ph.D. in Physics and postdoctoral experience;
- research experience the theme mentioned above;
- oral and written proficiency in the English language.
Type of contract: fixed contract
Gross salary: around Euro 45.000,00 per year plus extra benefits (e.g. lunch vouchers, discounts on public transportation, etc.)
Start date: January 2018
Duration: 3 years
Place: Villazzano, Trento (Italy).
